The product
Slick Cover is a digital-first car insurance provider, created by Allianz UK as a managing general agent. Customers buy on slickcover.com or through price comparison websites, pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay, and can report a claim digitally.
Allianz says Slick Cover went from an idea to selling its first motor policy in just under six months, and that it will form an important part of Allianz UK’s business.

Mateo Ivan Radman, Raddiene’s founder, has been the lead engineer on Slick Cover. The role combines hands-on backend development in Python, FastAPI and SQLAlchemy with responsibility for the engineering team and for getting changes safely into production.
